Kansas’ Elle Evans Takes Home Trio of Event Titles, O’Neal, Gunn Earn Wins 

INDIANAPOLIS (April 3, 2026) – Kansas’ Elle Evans won three titles, Sacramento State’s Shaqir O’Neal earned the State Farm Slam Dunk Championship, and DePaul’s CJ Gunn captured the E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship at the 37th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships before a crowd of 6,802 Friday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse. 

Evans teamed with Purdue’s Fletcher Loyer and Portland State’s Jaylin Henderson to win the Pedigree Team Shootout, then added victories in the Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship and Skechers Battle of the Champions to headline the night. 

Gunn was steady from the start of the E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship, advancing out of the opening round via tiebreaker before catching fire in the semifinal round with 22 points. He matched that total in the final, outscoring Texas Tech’s Donovan Atwell, 22-20, to take home the event championship. 

Evans shot her way to the Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship with a dominant performance throughout the competition. After posting 19 points in the opening round, she raised her total to 22 in the semifinal and repeated that mark in the final to hold off Indiana’s Shay Ciezki and claim the title. 

In the Skechers Battle of the Champions, it was Evans who came through in the final showdown, edging Gunn, 24-23, to earn her third event victory of the evening. 

O’Neal separated himself to take home the State Farm Slam Dunk Championship. After advancing to the final with a combined score of 89 through the first two rounds, he delivered a perfect 50 in the championship round. Nico Ashley of Central Connecticut State matched him with a 50, but O’Neal sealed the title in the dunk-off with a 39 to Ashley’s 26.
